INTRODUCTION

Introduction

Mildef International Technologies Sdn Bhd (Mildef) core service to the military and defence industry compasses research & development (R&D), design, fabrication, and maintenance. The organization is heavily invested in armoured vehicle research and development is driven by highly experienced professionals.

Mildef has successfully designed and manufactured a High Mobility Armoured Vehicle (HMAV) made in Malaysia, inspired by a chain of events following the “Lahad Datu standoff” in 2013. The organization believes through this effort, Malaysia could reduce dependency on foreign military technologies in the near future.

Established in 2005, Mildef was envisioned by Managing Director Dato’ Sri Mohd Nizam Kasa as an organization poised to make significant strides in the regional market. Under his leadership, the company underwent a strategic restructuring, focusing on pioneering research and development in armored vehicles. This initiative aims to support a sustainable defence automotive industry in Malaysia.

1997year

Inspiration From Lahad Datu' Stand - Off

2005year

Founded & Transitioned to MRO

Established in 2005, Mildef was founded with the vision of becoming a leader in the regional market. It later transitioned into Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services.

2016 year

Prototype Upgrade

Mildef revealed an upgraded prototype of the Scorpion light tank, tailored specifically for the army.

2018 year

Manufacturing Debut

Mildef unveiled its first locally manufactured Special Operations Vehicle (SOV) at Defence Services Asia (DSA) 2018.

2020 year

Collaboration with STRIDE

Mildef signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Science Technology Research Institute for Defence (STRIDE), a defence technology research statutory board under the Ministry of Defence (Malaysia). The collaboration aims to develop, integrate, and manufacture a cutting-edge 6x6 armored vehicle.
